Students are struggling with depression, anxiety and suicidal ideation at record rates. The CDC recently found that 25% of young people had considered suicide in the the last 30 days before the survey. Students need to know how to increase grit, resilience and what they can and cannot do to help their peers in crisis. StudentReach is here to resource students and school in compelling and engaging ways that grab students attention and challenge them to take action.

Why we do this:

Although the assembly can be customized, the core message revolves around depression and suicide prevention. Studies have shown that magnifying subjects like suicide, depression and bullying can actually INCREASE these problems, but StudentReach has very carefully crafted a message that addresses these subjects without dramatizing them and helps students in crisis.

How we do it:

StudentReach Assemblies have reached over 1,000,000 students from more than 40 countries and 40 states. The CONNECTED Assembly uses multiple speakers, a professional video, lighting and sound package and always involves a call to action for students to take specific actions to deal with real issues and help their peers in crisis.

Resources:

This turn-key package involves pre-event and follow up resources. Assembly speakers are also available to speak in classrooms after the assembly and StudentReach also provides an additional workshop for teachers and leaders for peer-prevention.

Westcoast locations include a full-equipment package – other locations may require additional A/V equipment.
