Lidia is the new Community Leader at Hope Village. As a community leader she will facilitate the women in daily activities, help with their needs and care for the property at Hope Village. Lidia comes to Hope Village as survivor and a mentor. She has overcome a great deal of trauma from being an orphan, to running away escaping violence and abuse, to being married to a man who would leave her to fend for herself and two small children at just 17 years old. But Lidia’s story did not end there.
Lidia and her 2 daughters have found success and happiness through her intrepid spirit. Her youngest daughter is working and attending law school and the other is married. Lidia’s experience spans care-taking a local hospital shelter for pregnant women to teaching health classes.
Lidia’s love for helping women succeed in life is why we are proud to have her as the Community Leader at Hope Village. Lidia resides in Casa de Michigan with her youngest daughter Sandra.
